Here's how to connect your Google Search Console account to Modular so you can view your website's search results within the tool and share them in reports for your clients.
1. Access the Search Console module
To start, go to your website's overview and select the Search Console module from the left-hand menu, or click on "Connect Search Console" in the relevant widget at the bottom of your website's dashboard.
2. Connect your Google Account
Once inside the Search Console module, you will see some basic information about the integration. You can go ahead and click on “Connect Google account".
If you have already added your Google account previously for another website, you can select it directly and skip the next step.
3. Verification and permissions
Next, you will need to log in with your Google account or select a Google account with which you are logged into your browser.
Once done, Google will ask you to confirm the permissions that Modular needs to be able to consult and show you your web statistics. Make sure you mark all the permissions required.
And once you click “Allow”, you will return to Modular, where you can select the account you just connected:
4. Choose your Search Console Account
After connecting your Google account, select the Search Console account and the domain property you want to associate with your website in Modular.
5. Confirming your choice
Click on confirm, and that's it! In a few seconds, the statistics will start appearing on your dashboard.
Can I change the Google Search Console property?
Yes, if you selected the wrong Search Console property for the website or if it has changed, you can go to the Search Console module. At the bottom, you'll find a button to change the property.
Do you want to change or unlink your Google account?
If at any point you decide to unlink Google from your website in Modular, it's just as easy. Simply click the button to unlink or change your Google account.
And that's it! Stay up to date with your website statistics and showcase them to your clients in the Modular reports.
