If Modular detects your website as down continuously and you have Cloudflare's Bot Fight Mode enabled, we offer two solutions to solve this issue.

1. Add an exception for verified bots

The Modular bot is verified and recognized by Cloudflare. This allows you to easily add an exception to allow its access and ensure that Modular's Uptime Monitor works properly.

Steps to Add Exception:

  1. Access “Security” > “WAF” in your Cloudflare dashboard.
  2. Select “Add Exception”.
    Add exception
  3. Name the exception descriptively and in the field menu, choose the “Known Bots” option.
    Exception configuration
  4. Implement the changes and wait between 2 and 30 minutes, depending on the configuration of your Uptime Monitor. After this period, the monitor should recognize your website as operational.
    Deploy exception

2. Enable Modular IPs

If the first solution does not solve the problem, you can try to directly enable Modular IPs in Cloudflare.

Steps to Enable IPs:

  • In your Cloudflare dashboard, go to “Security” > “WAF” and then “Tools”.
    Cloudflare WAF tools
  • Add the following Modular IPs to the allowed list. You can see them always updated in this link:
    • 54.220.170.248
    • 34.249.165.39
    • 63.34.51.157
    • 54.73.153.210
    • 52.210.126.224
  • Make sure to set the action to “Allow” and specify “This website” as the affected zone. As shown in the image:

After making these settings, Modular's Uptime Monitor should start detecting your website correctly at the next check. If you continue to experience problems, feel free to contact us at support@modulards.com to investigate further and help you resolve them.
